Cover: "Gunnar Von Roadrunner" grabs a quick lizard lunch, as modeled and rendered in 3D Studio release 3 by Sanford Kennedy. The model originated in Animation Master and exported as DXF objects. The scene here with its groups of individual feathers, comprise a 2.97Mb file with 100,230 faces. On a 486-66 with 28Mb RAM, it took almost 2.25 hours (and 400,760 virtual memory hits on the hard disk!) to render, pushing the system so hard it had to be reset after each render.
