Cover: The cover is by Cecilia Ziemer. It shows a scene in some shallow sea more than 200 million years ago, with straight-shelled nautiloids picking out tasty trilobites for lunch. The effort began in Ray Dream Designer 3 on a Mac IIci, and was developed into a cover that was finished in Ray Dream Studio on a PowerMac.
___
This is our second cover by a woman artist, the first done with Ray Dream, and the first done on a Macintosh. With her article telling about how the cover was done, Cecilia Ziemer also became with first person to have centerspreads in two consecutive 3DA issues.

Errata & additional info:
> p7: List price for Studio Pro [was then] $1,495.
> p30: In regards to closing details about creating QTVR images in Infini-D 3.1: Since that was written, Apple has released a QuickTime VR SDK to developers, so users of software that incorporate this feature won't have to buy extra programmer's tools just to finish their QTVR files. Specular says it will include the new capability in an Infini-D upgrade.
