Cover The cover image is by Sanford Kennedy of Sanford Kennedy Design, using 3DS Max r2.5 NURBS and the Shag: Fur plug-in. There is a full article about how Max's NURBS feature was used, plus a sidebar about how the fur variations were achieved. This is the artist's third cover, and the third featuring flying creatures, having previously done the covers for our issue #s 16 and 27 with bird images.
