Santa Fe Web Walk

of Artists' Gallery Pages



It happens here in Santa Fe early every Friday evening. A dozen or so art galleries on Canyon Road put out flags signifying participation in the "Art Walk." People move among galleries, which stay open later and often hold receptions and other events to coincide. Other cities, such as Albuquerque and Philadelphia, also have art walks, usually on one Friday evening a month. On the World Wide Web, however, you can drop in on virtual galleries anytime. Here's a tour guide to some that feature graphics produced with 3D tools.

The original Santa Fe Web Walk during 1995-96 toured and critiqued some of the best online 3D artists' galleries. It was a grandiose goal even in the early days of the Web, and quickly became impossible to maintain, so we turned instead to a subset of such sites--those belonging to 3D Artist's subscribers.

Please visit our large international collection of individual 3D artists' sites, most with galleries, all of them subscribers to 3D Artist magazine.
This directory has been expanded to include studios and 3D-related businesses (models, textures, etc.) as well as special support from our readers for some 3D applications.
